Last week Delish Cupcakes organised a ‘Get Your Bake On’ bake sale with all proceeds going to the Red Cross Canterbury Earthquake Appeal. People donated baked goods and an amazing $6664 was raised on the day. It was lovely to see so many people coming along to show their support as well as Grant Allen from Cook donating sausages and Jakkii Goody from Fabart donating her face-painting skills. I would have loved to have my face painted but I don’t think it would have gone down well at the wedding we went to that afternoon. A passerby said perhaps I could get away with a butterfly over one eye, but I think it would still have raised eyebrows!
How amazing the Gingerbread Cathedral below?! Somebody MADE that from food!! Well done to everyone who donated their time & baking skills and to everyone who bought something to eat. Special thanks to whoever made the carrot cupcakes as James is still talking about them now! And to anyone who bought our pink cupcakes, we hope they didn’t disappoint…
