Alvin + Nicole were awesome. We knew when we first met them they’d be a perfect fit mainly because we had a similar sense of humour: silliness + sarcasm with an extra serving of razor-sharp wit (we’d like to think so anyway!). Held at Settlers Country Manor in Waimauku, we had the perfect woodland/bush setting for their ceremony.
Many times when we arrive for the getting ready photos, family and friends often react by either trying to hide from us or every time they see the camera they pose. We have to tell them that we don’t want to just take posed photos, we’re looking to capture everything as it happens naturally so try to ignore what we’re doing. So when Nicole told her family they should carry on as normal as we have a ‘fly-on-the-wall’ approach and don’t pose, we were impressed that we didn’t have to say anything. Throw in some jokes, banter and a happy smiling couple and we were set.
Alvin + Nicole made us feel so welcome and we were in stitches for most of the day. Weddings should be full of fun and laughter and theirs was the perfect mix.
