Sometimes a quick wander outside can turn into an an epic leaf-hunting-clambering-through-mud-in-the-wrong-shoes-expedition. I only popped outside for a 5 minute break but spotted a branch lit perfectly by the afternoon sun and so began my expedition.
Moments like these remind me of how I first got into photography. I would search for hidden details amongst the ordinary and used to spend hours practicing on flowers because I found it easier than photographing than people. I could just step outside and immediately have something to shoot without having to plan anything. Now because our work is focused around photographing people, the majority of my personal work is back focused on nature, probably for the same reasons as when I started. Next time I hope to travel further away, with my welly boots at the ready!
I’m extra excited today that Jessica & Harold’s windy Wellington wedding is on the Magnolia Rouge website, so head over there for some windy wedding love!
