A ridiculous amount of time has just been spend sorting out 10 years worth of our photos. Everything we shoot gets backed up in three different places, but with one computer and one external hard drive failing on us a few months ago, our normal system of backing got a little bit muddled. The moral of the story is make sure you back up and in more than one place. If your computer/laptop/disc fails, do you still have another copy somewhere else? Data storage is so cheap these days, if you haven’t already invested in some external hard drives for your photos, do it asap!
As I went through our personal files I managed to find 100GB worth of data to delete. Yikes! And to think one of our early computers only held 50GB total.
